Hua Hin is located 281 km. south of Bangkok in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. It takes around 3 hour drive to Hua Hin. Hua Hin is an old town abandoned during the fall of Ayutthaya in the 1760\u2019s and a new settlement was established in 1845. The meaning of \u2018The Rock\u2019 resort derives from the Thai meaning of \u2018Hua Hin\u2019 itself. The word \u2018Hua\u2019 means head and \u2018Hin\u2019 means a rock or stone.
