Pranburi Forest Park
Mangrove Forest Nature Trail Walk-Located only 30 kilometres south of Hua Hin, at the mouth of the Pranburi River into the Gulf of Thailand, it covers an area of 3.17 km² and is said to be the largest mangrove forest in Thailand which will allow you walk through the middle of a beautifully preserved natural mangrove forest, teaming with various species of crabs. The Pranburi Mangrove Forest is considered to be the largest Mangrove forest in Thailand with an ongoing project of preventing flood and sewage treatment

Khao Takiab means “Chopstick Hill,” is only four kilometers south of Hua Hin. This hill rises at the southern end of Hua Hin beach. There is a road leading to top where a temple is situated. The nearby Khao Takiab beach offers various local fresh seafood kiosks.
The main road runs through a small village and continues up the hill with observation points to view the beautiful beaches surrounding the rise. Many monkeys live up here so it is also referred to as “Monkey Mountain.” At the base of the hill is the Giant Golden Buddha Statue where worshipers can pay tributes and make prayers. Temples, rustic local restaurants, resorts such as The Rock Hua Hin Resort and a fishing village can be found scattered on the hillside. At the top of Khao Takiab is a stunning temple with a dazzling flight of stairs to climb!
Palace
Constructed in 1923, the Mrigradayavan Palace consists of three beachside wooden pavilions used as a summer palace by King Rama VI. Located on Bang Kra beach, the summer palace was used to care for Queen Indrasakdi Sachi during her pregnancy. Mrigradayavan was celebrated as the palace of love and hope, but when King Rama VI passed away in 1925, the palace was abandoned and neglected. In 1965, King Bhumibol instructed that the palace be renovated and opened to the public.
An Amazing Temple Inside A Hidden Cave Near Hua Hin
The cave has a big hole in its roof through which shafts of light reach and permit the growth of various plants. Most famously, the light shines on Phra Thinanag Khuha Kharuehat, a Thai-style pavilion, a compelling sight which has become the symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan. The four-porched wooden pavilion was constructed in Bangkok in 1890 during King Rama V’s reign, then dismantled and moved to the cave where is was reconstructed. Its gable tops were raised by the king himself.

This beach lies about 10 km. south of Hua Hin and 1 km. along an access road. It is a sea pine-fringed beach. A famous reservoir is located in the middle of the district.

Railway
Built in the 1920’s, Hua Hin’s Railway Station is one of the oldest in Thailand. The station is located at the west end of Damnoern Kasem Road. The main attraction is The Royal Waiting Room, which was used to welcome the King and his court when they visited the town. During the reign of King Rama VI the room was originally at Sanam Cham Palace in Nakorn Pathom, but was later relocated to Hua Hin. The station was designed and decorated in the same style as the Mrigadayavan Palace.
Sam Roi Yod National Park
Just approximately 3 kilometers from Hua Hin town center, driving uphill to the viewpoints. There are multiple viewpoints you can visit and enjoy the view of Hua Hin. There are monkeys on the way to each viewpoint. It might be fun for small kids but parents need to supervise very closely.

This park is located 63 km. south of Hua Hin. Its 98 sq. km. area features undulating ranges of limestone mountains, mangrove swamps and beaches. It is home to various local birds and hosts many migrating birds, especially from November to February. With a large number of ridges, Khao Sam Roi Yot (300 – Peak Mountain) stands as a landmark for seafarers and a shelter for ships i.n a storm. Attractions within the park area include: Khao Daeng, 400 m. from the park office, has a splendid viewpoint. Ban Khao Daeng, a canal side village, is the starting point for boat trips to watch wild birds. Hat Sam Phraya, located 3.5. km. north of the park office, is a beautiful beach lined with sea pines. Accommodation is available. Tham Kaeo, full of stalactites and stalactites and stalagmites, is situated I5 km. north of the park office. Oil lamps to assist exploring can be rented at a nearby village. Thain Sai is 9 km. north of the park office. Exploration inside the cave takes about half an hour. Oil lamps can be rented at nearby Khung Tanot Village. Hat Laen Sala is a beach located 16 km. north of the park office. It can be reached by boat or by walking across a bill from Bang Pu Village. Ascending a beachside mountain visitors will arrive at a famous cave called Tham Phraya Nakhon.

Cha-Am ATV Park sits on Petchkasem Road between Hua Hin and Cha-Am. Open since 2005, visitors can enjoy a day of archery, painball and ATV (quad bike) racing. There are three tracks and three types of bikes to choose from – the “Roller Runner” course is designed for beginners; the “Cha-Am Racer” is for more experience drivers; and the “Fast and Furious in the Rice Paddies” is for more seasoned riders. The Park is set in beautiful surroundings and the staff are all English-speaking. It is recommended to make reservations beforehand. The park is closed every Wednesday.
